1-on-1 Session Terms

These terms apply when you book a 1-on-1 educational session. They explain what a session is (and isn't), how booking works, and our rescheduling, cancellation and refund policy.

Last updated: 20 July 2026

The short version: A session is one-to-one teaching about how the software works and what the retirement concepts mean. It is not financial, tax, or legal advice, and no personalised recommendations are given. Pay through Stripe, then pick a time — the session is confirmed once you choose a slot. Cancel or reschedule with at least 24 hours' notice for a full refund of the session fee.

1. Who these terms are between

These terms are an agreement between you (the person booking, "you") and WebNomad Studio, an independent developer and tool builder ("we", "us", "our"). By booking and paying for a session you agree to these terms. If you don't agree with them, please don't book — email dev@webnomad.org with any questions first.

2. Educational instruction only — not financial advice

This is the most important part, so we say it plainly:

  • A session is educational instruction. We teach you how to use the AI Retirement Income Planner and explain the general concepts it relies on (such as MAGI, ACA subsidies, CSR, IRMAA, RMDs and Roth conversions).
  • A session is not financial, tax, investment, legal, insurance, Social Security, estate, or retirement advice, and we are not acting as your financial adviser, accountant, attorney, or fiduciary.
  • We do not give personalised recommendations, we do not tell you what to do with your money, and we do not review, endorse, approve, or give an opinion on the merits of your personal plan or financial situation.
  • Any figures used in a session — whether sample numbers or numbers you choose to share — are for illustration and learning only. Every output of the planner is an estimate based on the assumptions entered.
  • A session does not create an ongoing advisory relationship of any kind, and nothing said in a session should be relied upon as advice.
  • Before making any financial, tax, or legal decision, you should consult a suitably qualified and licensed professional who can consider your individual circumstances.

3. What a session includes — and doesn't

Included: a live, online, screen-share session of the duration you purchased (currently one hour), covering the planner's setup and features and the concepts behind them; time for your questions; and — where relevant — a starter scenario file, built during the session, emailed to you afterwards.

Not included: preparation or review of your personal tax returns, financial statements or accounts; the creation of a financial plan on your behalf; ongoing support or follow-up beyond the session (unless separately arranged); or any of the professional services listed in Section 2. We will not enter your real account credentials or handle your money.

4. Booking and the video platform

Sessions are pay first, then book. After your payment is complete you are directed to a scheduling page and also emailed a scheduling link. Your session is only confirmed once you select a time. If you don't choose a time straight away, your scheduling link remains valid so you can book later.

Sessions take place online over Google Meet, which runs in your browser — the meeting link is added to your calendar invitation automatically. A working internet connection, a modern browser and (ideally) audio are needed on your side. If you have technical trouble joining, contact us as soon as possible so we can help or reschedule.

5. Payments, pricing and promotion codes

Payment is processed securely by Stripe, which acts as the merchant of record and handles the transaction, receipt and any applicable taxes under Stripe's own terms and privacy policy. Prices are shown on the 1-on-1 Sessions and Products pages and may change from time to time; the price shown at checkout is the price that applies to your booking. Valid promotion codes can be entered at checkout. Bundled options that include the planner software also grant you an instant download of that software.

6. Rescheduling, cancellation and no-shows

  • Reschedule: you may reschedule using the link in your confirmation email, provided you do so at least 24 hours before the start time. Rescheduling within 24 hours is at our discretion, subject to availability.
  • Cancel for a refund: cancel at least 24 hours before the start time and we'll refund the session fee in full (see Section 7).
  • Late cancellation / no-show: if you cancel within 24 hours of the start time, or don't attend, the session fee is non-refundable because the time was reserved for you. As a courtesy we will normally offer a one-time reschedule where we reasonably can.
  • If we need to reschedule: occasionally we may have to move a session. If that happens we'll offer you the earliest convenient alternative, or a full refund of the session fee if you prefer.

7. Refunds

We want you to be happy. The session fee is refundable in the circumstances described in Section 6, and we will always consider a fair resolution if something went wrong on our side. For bundled purchases that include the planner software, the software portion is a digital product delivered immediately; where the software is faulty or not as described we will put it right or refund it, consistent with our general approach in the FAQ. Any consumer-law cooling-off or refund rights that apply where you live are honoured. To request a refund, email dev@webnomad.org with your receipt; refunds are issued through Stripe to your original payment method.

8. Your responsibilities

To get the most from a session, please join on time and be ready to share your screen if you wish. You decide what information to show us — you don't need to share any sensitive financial details, and we recommend you don't share account numbers, passwords, or other credentials. You're responsible for the security of your own device and data. Sessions are provided for your personal use and may not be recorded, resold, or shared as a substitute for purchasing your own session.

9. Recording and privacy

We do not record sessions. If you would like to take your own notes, that's fine. Any information you give us to arrange the session (for example, your name, email, and the answers to a short intake question set) is used only to schedule and prepare for your session and is handled in line with our Privacy Policy. Scheduling and video are provided by third parties (our scheduling tool and Google Meet), which process your booking details under their own terms.

10. No guarantee of outcomes; limitation of liability

Retirement planning involves assumptions about the future that may not hold. We make no guarantee about any financial result, and any decisions you make after a session are your own. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or in connection with a session is limited to the amount you paid for that session, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

11. Materials

The planner software, this website, and any documents or example files we provide remain our intellectual property (or that of our licensors). You may use them for your own personal planning, but not redistribute or resell them.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time; the version in force is the one published here on the date you book. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above.

13. Contact

Questions about a session or these terms? Email dev@webnomad.org — a real person replies, usually within one business day.

These terms are provided in good faith and in plain language; they are not legal advice to you. See also our Privacy Policy.
